John C. Lewis, III, is a partner in the law firm of Brignole, Bush and Lewis and has been with the firm since 1993.  He graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance in 1990.  He obtained his Juris Doctor graduating Cum Laude from Western New England College School of Law in 1993.  He won the American Jurisprudence Award for excellent achievement in the study of commercial paper and was the Bureau of National Affairs/United States Law Week law student award winner for 1993.  Upon graduation from law school, he went directly into private law practice.  John is licensed to practice law in all State of Connecticut Courts and the United States District Court in Connecticut.  His primary focus is in the following areas: various types of civil litigation including personal injury, workers’ compensation, and landlord/tenant; family law including dissolution of marriage, child support, child custody and visitation and other related family matters; residential and commercial real estate transactions, and criminal matters.  John has tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has been helping people in need of legal assistance for more than twenty years.  John has been and remains an active volunteer in the local community especially in the area of youth sports where he has coached with the YMC youth baseball program, the Farmington Youth Baseball League, the Farmington Youth Lacrosse Club, the West Hartford Youth Hockey Association and the Central Connecticut Youth Hockey Association.
